Mohamed Faouzi al-Karkari

Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi al-Karkari founded the Karkariya Tariqa, a Shadhili-lineage Sufi order based at a zawiya in Al Aaroui, Morocco, that has since grown an international following. His teaching frames the order's path as leading directly toward divine knowledge rather than serving primarily as devotional practice, combining close attention to Islamic law and the Sunnah with inner purification of the heart.

Several of his works, including Sufism Revived and In the Footsteps of Moses, have been translated into English. He teaches almost daily through live broadcasts to his students, in addition to occasional in-person gatherings at the order's centers.
