Sandra Ingerman trained within core shamanism, the cross-cultural framework developed by anthropologist Michael Harner, and became especially known for her teaching and writing on soul retrieval, a shamanic method for addressing psychological and spiritual fragmentation following trauma. She has since trained a wide network of practitioners through her own programmes.
Her tenth two-year Professional Teacher Training runs through 2026 (currently full), alongside a weekly online gathering for shamanic practitioners and courses through the Shift Network; a network of teachers she has trained is listed at shamanicteachers.com.
