Brother Phap Huu was ordained within Thich Nhat Hanh's Vietnamese Zen (Thiền) lineage at Plum Village in France and now serves as abbot of its Upper Hamlet, continuing the tradition of engaged, everyday-life-oriented Zen practice his teacher established. He co-hosts the podcast The Way Out Is In.
He led an 'In the Footsteps of the Buddha' pilgrimage through India in February 2026, gives dharma talks during Plum Village's regular retreats, and continues to publish and teach through the wider Plum Village community.
