About the teacher

A quiet, direct path.

Gangaji (born Antoinette Roberson Varner in 1942) met the teacher Papaji in India in 1990, an encounter she describes as the turning point that ended her own search. She has taught internationally ever since, known for a plain, unadorned style that repeatedly returns students to the immediacy of the present moment rather than to any doctrine.

Now in her early eighties, she continues to teach, with her current schedule of gatherings and retreats maintained on her own website.
