Kevin James & Susana

Kevin James is an Australian singer-songwriter whose devotional music is offered without religious dogma. He weaves mantras drawn from traditions around the world together with what he calls heartsongs — his own compositions, in English, carrying Eastern philosophy in a form people can sing straight away.

He has been travelling internationally with the circles since 2010. In 2016 he met Susana, and they have toured together ever since; she became the harmonium player and singer carrying the music with him. They are married now and live a nomadic life, leading Heartsong Chanting Circles all over the world.

Alongside the circles they run workshops and retreats in places such as Ladakh, Bhutan, Greece, Australia and on sailing journeys, combining the voice, sound meditations, chanting and Kevin's own Morning Practice. The intention is a reconnection to the heart, so that emotions, mind and body come into harmony. He also offers a facilitator course for people who want to lead chanting themselves, and a chakra-toning practice he calls Active Aum Meditation.
