About the teacher

A quiet, direct path.

Mooji (born Anthony Paul Moo-Young in Jamaica in 1954) came to self-inquiry through his connection with the Indian sage Papaji, a direct disciple of Ramana Maharshi. His satsangs — recorded and shared widely online — brought a warm, conversational style of Advaita teaching to a global audience well beyond traditional Indian settings.

He now teaches primarily from Monte Sahaja, the retreat community he founded in rural Portugal, where residential programmes continue to run, including further retreats planned for September and October 2026.
