About the teacher
Sacred Earth
Sacred Earth is Penny and Jethro Williams, who perform and record together as what their own audiences in Australia know simply as a mantra duo. Penny carries the vocal line and ambient keyboards; Jethro adds vocal harmony and a wide range of wind instruments — the Japanese shakuhachi, the Indian bansuri, Irish tin and low whistles — alongside acoustic guitar.
Their work sits in the devotional and mantra tradition rather than in kirtan's call-and-response form, and they perform mostly around Australia, in concert halls, community halls and on retreat. Current tour dates are kept at sacredearthmusic.com/tour-dates.
